Manual Handling

Statistics show that over 25% of reported accidents in the workplace are due to the improper handling of loads.

Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations, employers are required to make an assessment of all manual handling operations and to take remedial action where there is an identifiable risk to employees.

Participants will be able to lift and handle reasonable loads safely and efficiently, minimising the risk of injury and cumulative strain.

• back structure;
• reasons for back injury;
• workplace hazards;
• risk analysis/reduction;
• correct manual handling techniques;
• group lifting;
