Management Training Course

Supervisory Development Programme - NVQ Level 3

Course No: 800

 12 Days (Over 6 months)

This management development programme will make a significant difference to the effectiveness of your managers and the teams they lead. The programme provides practical skills in setting and achieving targets, managing performance and solving problems that participants can apply straight away. The programme also includes back at work assignments that will help develop your businesses’ performance.

Who is the course aimed at?

The programme is designed to provide knowledge, skills and competence for first line and middle managers. Its purpose is to make them highly effective, capable of developing winning teams, improving staff morale and commitment and designing and enacting the changes necessary to meet increasing performance targets.

Course Format

The overall course is a mix of off-job sessions and workplace assignments. The 12, 1-day off-job sessions occur over a period of 6 months and they are specifically designed to prepare delegates for their in-between workplace assignments. The assignments are central to the course because they provide the evidence that the competence requirements of the NVQ have been met. Whilst the off-job element is supported by a full set of reference documentation, the onus is on the delegate to complete each workplace assignment and gather the required on-job evidence of competence for assessment and verification. Full guidance and support is provided throughout the programme and a portfolio is provided for evidence recording.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, successful delegates will have demonstrated competence in:

  • maintaining activites to meet requirements;
  • supporting efficient use of resources;
  • managing themselves;
  • create effective working relationships;
  • managing information for action;
  • contributing to the development of teams and individuals;
  • team and individual leadership.

Location

The off-job sessions will be delivered at L.I.T.S. Ltd, Petts Wood, Kent
