      • Electrical Skills - Part 1 - This course is primarily designed to provide the very basic electrical skills and understanding for those working in the maintenance sector
      • Electrical Skills - Part 2 - The structure and content of the course builds on the Electrical Skills - Part 1 (Course No 103). It is aimed at those fulfilling a maintenance role who as part of their normal routine, work on or near to electrical equipment and are required to safely isolate, disconnect, test and replace single and three-phase motors or similarly driven devices
      • IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) - The IEE Wiring Regulations, commonly referred to as BS7671, is the traditionally recognised Approved Code of Practice followed by all installation electricians. However, the legal requirements for any employee involved in electrical activites such as simply selecting the size of a cable or fuse must be fully aware of this British Standard
      • Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2391) - This course is aimed at electrical personnel who either carry out, or supervise, the testing and inspection of installations, and is also designed to meet the needs of those required to sit the City & Guilds 2391 examination.  The course also provides for the NICEIC requirements for Qualifying Manager status
      • Electricity At Work Regulations - This course addresses many of the misconceptions about the legality of electrical work that is undertaken by maintenance operatives and the legal obligations imposed on those that allocate such work
      • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) - All 'portable appliances' used in the workplace must be adequately maintained and used in a safe manner in accordance with legal requirements. In order to meet this requirement, appliances should be regularly tested based on a risk assessment for each appliance. This course provides participants with the knowledge of the legal requirements and the expertise to carry out such testing competently
      • Fault-Finding Techniques - This short, highly-focused course is specifically designed to develop the logical approach to fault-finding that will greatly assist in reducing dowtime and increasing productivity

    • Short Courses - Mechanical - Menu of all Short Mechanical Technical Training Courses available from LITS Ltd

      • Abrasive Wheels Safety - Abrasive wheels safety is now covered by the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations. The Approved Code of Practice places the emphasis upon employers to ensure that all persons who mount, dress or change abrasive wheels receive adequate training
      • Basic Hydraulics - To meet the needs for an understanding of Health & Safety Requirements and the fundamental principals of Hydraulically operated systems, this course is designed to provide personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply safe working practices and understand the operation of hydraulic equipment and follow basic flow charts
      • Refrigeration & Air Conditioning - Anyone required to work with refrigeration or air-conditioning plant of any kind will find this course indispensable. All aspects of basic unit maintenance, servicing and commissioning are covered and the course also provides the skills necessary to install the pipe-work associated with small to medium sized systems
      • Mechanical Maintenance Skills - To meet the increasing demand for flexible maintenance work-teams, this course is designed to provide personnel with the necessary skills to remedy 80% of typical mechanical breakdowns such as the removal and replacement of equipment (pumps, gearboxes, motors and transmission systems) and to identify bearing faults within these systems
      • Mechanical Building Services - This course is specifically designed to provide non-mechanical specialists with the skills needed to carry out first-line mechanical maintenance on low pressure hot water heating systems, hot and cold water services, and drainage systems – together with associated pipe-work, pumps, valves and other ancillary equipment

    • Short Courses - Safety - Menu of all Short Safety Training Courses available from LITS Ltd

      • First-Aid Training Course - Appointed Persons Emergency First Aid (HSE Approved) - An Appointed Person is nominated by an employer to take charge in an emergency situation in the absence of a First Aider. This course is suitable for the smaller company with low risk hazards where it is not necessary to provide a fully qualified First Aider, or where the workforce requires additional First Aid cover
      • Lift Safety Course - Safe Release of Trapped Lift Passengers - The Health & Safety Executive emphasises the importance of ensuring that proper arrangements exist for safe (emergency) release of passengers from lift cars which have become immobilised within a lift well/shaft.  The HSE cites BS7255:2001 as the Approved Code of Practice that contains the recommendations/requirements relevant to emergency release procedures and provisions.  This on-site course is designed to meet the recommendations of the HSE and the specific requirements of BS7255
      • Lift Safety Course - Basic Lift Safety - EOR 202 - The Health and Safety Executive cites BS7255:2001 as the Approved Code of Practice that will help to ensure that proper arrangements exist for safe working within any lift well, pit, machinery space or pulley room. In accordance with this Standard, appropriate training should be provided for all relevant persons and their competence should be assessed and certificated to NVQ EOR 202. This on-site course is designed to ensure that employers and operatives meet the recommendations of the HSE and the specific requirements of BS7255
      • Safety Course - Overhead Crane Safety, Hoisting & Slinging - Under the umbrella of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment (PUWER) Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers to ensure that all employees are properly trained in the use of 'work equipment'. The use of improper procedures and inappropriate equipment when slinging and lifting is potentially lethal and evidence suggests that accidents do occur through inexperience and lack of training
